Performance Features

• Excellent Magnetic Properties: It has the characteristic of high magnetic induction. Under a certain magnetic field, it can generate a relatively strong magnetic induction intensity, enabling the iron core to obtain a higher magnetic flux density under a smaller magnetizing current. Meanwhile, it has low core loss and small energy loss in an alternating magnetic field, which can effectively reduce the power consumption of equipment such as transformers during operation and improve energy utilization efficiency.

• Good Orientation: The crystal structure has an obvious preferred orientation along the rolling direction. In this direction, the magnetic permeability is high, which can better meet the requirements of power equipment for the direction and intensity of the magnetic field.

• Stable Working Performance: It has stable working performance under high temperature and high frequency conditions, and also has relatively good wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

Chemical Composition

The silicon content is usually around 3%. It also contains appropriate amounts of elements such as carbon, aluminum, manganese, and sulfur. Silicon can increase the resistivity of steel, reduce core loss and enhance magnetic permeability. Aluminum combines with nitrogen to form inhibitors to control grain growth and improve magnetic properties. The contents of carbon, manganese, sulfur and other elements need to be precisely controlled to ensure the comprehensive performance of the steel.

Production Process

It is smelted by an oxygen converter. The steel billet undergoes hot rolling, normalizing, cold rolling, intermediate annealing and secondary cold rolling successively to reach the finished thickness, and then goes through decarburization annealing and high-temperature annealing, and finally is coated with an insulating layer.
